About Delisle Veterinary Service
We Love Pets
Delisle Veterinary Service provides a wide range of veterinary services for companion (small) animals.
"Big City Service, Small Town Friendly" says it well. Often, new clients are surprised that a small town clinic offers so many services and that it is so well equipped.
Dr. Lorrie Fraser established the clinic and has special interests in surgery, dentistry and canine reproduction. Dr. Fraser's "happy place" is in surgery, especially helping dogs with ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments. She would love for the clinic to have a reputation of being the "canine knee clinic". She finds it very rewarding to restore a painfully lame dog back to an active life.
As for small town friendly, our staff take "team" to a different level. We are "family". We share common goals in providing veterinary services. We value a workplace that is peaceful and welcoming. Pets seem to sense this too!

Orthopedic Surgeries
Ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligaments, Fractures, Luxating Patellas, etc
Here at Delisle, we offer several options for stabilizing your pet's musculoskeletal system. External capsular techniques and TPLO's for cruciate stabilization, femoral head and neck ostectomy for hip dysplasia and stabilization of medially luxating patella. We also do fracture repair on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to schedule an appointment for a consult. If your pet has been diagnosed with an orthopedic injury, please restrict their activity to reduce further injury and consult a veterinarian for a treatment plan.
Veterinary Laser Therapy
Therapeutic laser therapy in veterinary medicine has become increasingly popular with proven ability to reduce pain and assist in healing of soft tissue and skin conditions. If your pet is experiencing some pain either due to bone, tendon, ligament or muscle injury, our laser therapy sessions may be ideal for your pet. This involves the use of a laser emitting probe over affected area for a minimum of 5-10 mins . For more details, contact our office to set up an examination and consult.

Client Reviews
"I have NEVER found a more caring wonderful place to take my furry family then to Dr Fraser and her staff. My rescue pitbull needed a TPLO surgery immediately but I was a single mother and had no idea what I was in for. The staff and Dr Fraser helped me through the entire process and took the best care of Scooby while he stayed in hospital. I'm thinking I'd rather start seeing them for the rest of my family even that aren't pets lol. Believe me when I say this place is the gold standard for veterinarians and service".

"I took my baby girl to the vet in Delisle the other day. I was very impressed with the service we received. I was so concerned about my fur baby and worked myself right up. Dr. Schutz saw us and gave us some medication for infection. The next day, I even received a phone call asking how she was doing. I'd definitely recommend this clinic. Thank you!!"
Lexi Allard
"Dr. Fraser and her staff are honestly amazing!! They truly loved my dog Robbie and went above and beyond to try to help him find a conclusion to his problem. When you leave you know what is going on and what to expect, she gives you information and a plan to your animals needs and requirement. I would recommend Dr. Fraser and staff to anyone with a pet as they are gentle, compassionate and very knowledgeable."
Lori Hradecki
``Dr. Lorrie and her staff have always treated my family very well, be that explaining things to my husband and I or taking care of our critters.
They show heart, humour and compassion as well as first class service and skill. They have welcomed new members of our furry family as well as helped the older ones make a graceful, dignified exit.``

Meet the Team!
Dr. Lorrie Fraser
Veterinarian/Practice Owner
Dr. Fraser grew up in Alberta and studied at the University of Alberta where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in 1994. In 1998, she graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and started a mobile mixed animal practice. Some family commitments sent her back to Alberta where she spent several years working in a mixed animal practice and, then, a small animal practice where she focused on small animal surgery and dentistry. When the opportunity arose to move back to Delisle, she moved back and started the Delisle Veterinary Service. Dr. Fraser knew she wanted to "be a vet" when she was just 4 years old. She enjoys time spent with her husband, Cam, children and grandchildren and she looks forward to visits with family, camping, fishing and traveling. She is very thankful for Dr. Joseph Hrdlicka and his mentorship as she grew up and for the opportunities to tag along on farm calls, the love and support of her husband, family and friends and the community.
